We are working to meet specific goals in areas for improvement identified by the NECHE evaluation team that visited us last fall. For example, members of the System-wide Assessment Committee (SWAC) have drafted a proposed approach to supporting faculty in the development and assessment of program learning outcomes for multi-university academic collaborations. That document will be shared with the UMS Faculty Governance Council and the UMS Chief Academic Officers Council in early February. Also, in the next few days we will finalize a single complete list of all of our universities’ off-campus instructional locations, thereby reconciling slightly different sets of lists used historically for the respective external reporting obligations of our financial aid offices and our university accreditation officers. These are just two of many concrete steps being taken this spring to achieve a greater degree of coordination and alignment across our System in areas where it is needed.
