Following the successful completion of our comprehensive accreditation evaluation, we have continued to incorporate improvements recommended by our regional accreditor, the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), as goals in the 2023-2028 University of Maine System Strategic Plan. To align our tracking of our NECHE goals and other goals in the plan, we will be using a single implementation “scorecard” across the life of the plan. In this way, our progress in meeting our NECHE goals will be closely watched and carefully documented. This will serve us well in future NECHE reporting, including a 2027 report we will file regarding the ongoing implementation of the overall strategic plan.
