There are no known cases at the other University of Maine System universities.
The above Data reflects ACTIVE known cases identified through the UMS asymptomatic screening and other testing venues. When an individual is released from an isolation order by a public health agency the active case number shared in the Together for Maine daily update is reduced to reflect that change. UMS is reporting six known cases today, one more than the number of cases reported in the 10/29/20 update.

The Asymptomatic Screening Dashboard at Together.Maine.edu represents known results on all asymptomatic tests going back to July 22, 2020. About 48 hours passes from the time a test sample is collected and when the results are known.

Monitoring Detects Low Levels of COVID Virus in Orono Wastewater: The UMS Scientific Advisory Board is sampling wastewater for the Town of Orono. In a joint release today the community and the UMS announced its first detection of the presence of the virus that causes COVID-19.
Campus monitoring continues to be negative: As part of the announcement about the sample taken from the Orono Water Pollution Control Facility the University of Maine System shared that wastewater samples for the virus continued to be negative at UMaine, UMFK and USM-Gorham. These results have been updated on the Together.Maine.edu dashboard.
Be Safe For Us All: Monday marks the three-quarter point of planned in-person instruction for the semester. In a message to UMS students and employees, Chancellor Malloy shared the news from the Maine CDC that community transmission is on the rise in Maine and now was the time to stick to it and finish strong.
Keep it Up Tour Finishing Up at UMaine on Monday: Chancellor Malloy will be at the University of Maine on Monday for the final stop of his Keep it Up fall semester campus tour. A media advisory will be sent out regarding availability with the Chancellor and President Ferrini-Mundy at a guest lecturer session at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 2.
