The University of Maine System’s police departments and campus safety departments vary between full-service police departments staffed by state-certified police officers and support their campus communities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to security personnel and student affairs staff who are on call. Police, public safety and student affairs staff are dedicated professionals whose primary mission is to safeguard the lives and property of their campus communities.
