Learning outcomes assessment processes vary at each campus, however reporting to our regional accreditor, NECHE, is done via a unified self-study and common data collection (E-series) forms.

Assessment of Collaborative Programs

SWAAC
In 2021, a System-Wide Academic Assessment Committee (SWAAC) was established, with members from each UMS institution who have a focus on student learning assessment.
- SWAAC’s Charge (External Site): The following broad goals guide efforts to build a stronger culture of assessment within UMS:
- Foster a common language with respect to academic assessment.
- Identify collaborative ways to assist programs in measuring student learning and implementing change based on the results of the assessment.
- Provide input and recommendations on the development of reporting procedures.
