Description:
The Future Teachers Academy micro-credential was developed for high school students who are curious about or interested in a career as an educator. The knowledge, skills, and competencies gained through the academy help to articulate what makes a great teacher, how schools and school systems work, and the legal and historical landscapes related to PreK-12 education. This micro-credential allows learners to take an inside look at the tremendous potential teachers have to transform lives and futures. Learners who earn the micro-credential are eligible to apply for 3 credits in EDU 152 Introduction to Education at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
