The University of Maine System (UMS) values employees and provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefit to help employees and families cope with challenging times.
The EAP is a free, voluntary, and confidential service provided by ComPsych® Guidance Resources®. It provides employees, retirees, and their household members with assessments, consultations, and resource referrals. The EAP is designed to assist you in dealing with a wide variety of personal concerns, such as:

Get started by visiting your UMS EAP at the ComPsych® Guidance Resources® website and log in or register using the steps below. You can also call 1-866-365-0829 (TRS: Dial 711)
- Navigate to ComPsych® Guidance Resources® (external website). It may take a moment for the login box to load.
- If this is your first visit, select the Register button below the blue login button. Otherwise, log in to access your benefits!
- Enter our Organization Web ID (ums) in the white box and select the blue Register button.
- Continue by adding the requested information, review the checkboxes, and click the blue Submit button to get started.
