Fall 2024 Grade Spreadsheets Available in ExplorEC
Fall 2024 grade spreadsheets have been uploaded to ExplorEC. If you have questions, or do not see your grade spreadsheet, please email jamie.whittemore@maine.edu.
If grades are needed sooner than provided by our office, students can download their unofficial transcript or request an official transcript at anytime using MaineStreet. For directions, visit our Transcript Information Page.
As you look ahead to summer and fall registration please remember that if a student:
- earns an I (Incomplete) grade, they must complete the work in that course before taking additional online/on-campus courses.
- earns an F or an L grade, they must retake the course before taking additional online/on-campus courses.
- earns an D+, D, D-, or a W grade, the student may retake the course if they choose to and the DOE will pay for the retake.
You can read more about our Course Retake Policy on our website.
Early College Courses and High School Graduation Requirements
Please do not rely on early college courses to meet high school graduation requirements. This is particularly important for online or on-campus courses. We review every application and cannot guarantee university course approval or course availability. The primary goal of the early college program is to provide additional opportunities to your students, not to replace the high school curriculum.
The ExplorEC Portal Will Open for Summer 2025 Applications on Friday, February 14th
EC Administrators at each campus may process applications at different times depending on their campus’s enrollment schedule. For some campuses the summer schedule is not available until March. Students should check ExplorEC regularly for updated course offerings.
Students who are on track to graduate in Spring 2025 are not eligible for early college courses in the summer semester following their graduation, regardless of course start date, high school graduation date, and/or high school diploma conferral date.
Online/On-Campus Application Deadlines
The deadline for completed applications is 1 week before the class start date regardless of whether there are spots available in the class.
Completed applications are processed in the order in which they are received on a space available basis.
- A completed application includes the following:
- Student signature
- Parent consent
- School counselor or homeschool parent approval
- Prerequisite documentation (if necessary) which could include:
- Placement test results
- Transcripts (if the course is completed outside of the UMS)
- AP exam results
- SAT/ACT scores
- Any other course specific requirements
We cannot make exceptions for incomplete or late applications. Applications that are not completed by the deadline will be marked “Late Application” in the ExplorEC Portal and will NOT be processed for enrollment.
