Donna Loring

Donna is an elder/ former Council member of the Penobscot Indian Nation. She was the Nation’s Representative to the Maine State Legislature for over a decade. 

She authored “An Act to Require Teaching Maine Native American History and Culture in Maine’s Schools”. She hosts her own radio show, Wabanaki Windows at WERU Community Radio in Orland.

She has written a play Mary and Molly Premiered at the Portland Museum of Art produced as a digital short film by Speedwell Contemporary. She holds two Honorary Degrees from the University of Maine and Thomas College.
