The University of Maine System (UMS) provides a variety of leave options to help employees balance their work and family responsibilities. Employees who need leave time for birth or adoption of a child, care of a sick family member, other family responsibilities or Military Family Leave may use disability leave, annual leave, compensatory time, or leave without pay.
